Go Nurse Ltd
Modern Slavery Act Statement
The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘The Act’) is a major step forward in confronting human trafficking and slavery in the modern age, both in the UK and abroad. Go Nurse Limited (“Go Nurse”) is a privately-owned recruitment company providing permanent and temporary staffing services to clients in the private sector.
As part of its services Go Nurse contracts with clients and suitable temporary workers for supply to clients across the private healthcare sector. We have a strong commitment to being a responsible business and set out below the steps taken to help ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We believe that, in conjunction with the policies implemented by our clients, Go Nurse can drive out any features of human trafficking and slavery from our supply chains.
Go Nurse places high importance on working only with suppliers who place equal importance on their obligations towards eliminating modern slavery that Go Nurse does. Go Nurse will not work with any organisation that is unable to demonstrate an equal commitment. We expect the staff employed by our suppliers, whether permanent or temporary, to have the same basic right to be treated with respect and dignity at work as our own employees, temporary workers and contractors. We believe all forms of employment must be chosen and there must be no forced, bonded or involuntary labour in the market place.
Go Nurse educates its employees on factors which could indicate that a temporary worker may be subject to undue influence. Employees are actively encouraged to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
All temporary workers are supplied and documented through Go Nurse’s Sirenum portal. In all cases Go Nurse must verify (amongst many other mandatory elements) a temporary worker’s right to work in the United Kingdom before we can supply their services to clients.
The directors of Go Nurse believe that driving out slavery in any form from its supply chain is fundamental and central to our aims and values. The Go Nurse directors have approved this statement. This statement will be reviewed annually, unless there is a requirement to review it more frequently.
